Sitting at home wishing something would change doesn't serve the world.
Awaken the hero in you. Learn how you are already enough.
The ancient Sacred Valley will change you forever.
Now is the time, because life is more precious than ever.

Download our beautiful, full-color brochure to see the full itinerary and explore more.
Visit the village of Chincharro to see textiles being made, lunch in Cusco, the amazing Maras Salt Pools, Opening Celebration Dinner & Full Moon Ceremony.
We will travel to the village of Aguas Calientes and the ancient city of Machu Picchu. There are many power sites to explore, and we will have the opportunity to open to a deeper experience of the intrinsic magic of this amazing city.
After the intensity of Machu Picchu, enjoy a day around Pisac on your own; explore the fabulous retreat center, rest, write, visit the animals, chapel, and gardens, even swim; or choose to take a special, guided medicine journey into the heart of your soul (optional, additional fee).
After a hearty breakfast, we embark for exploration of the Incan Ruins at Urco. Back at Catalina, we gather during the afternoon for sacred conversation about how each of us is faring on this journey, not only through the Sacred Valley of Peru, but the journey into the interior of our hearts. We tuck into bed early as we leave before dawn for one of the most spectacular experiences not found with any tour company.
We take our time hiking to one of the most spectacular (and unadvertised) mountain vistas in the Andes to be present the moment the sun cracks over the majestic mountains in the East. Truly, words cannot describe this opportunity.
We travel to see 7,000-year-old hieroglyphics, then visit one of the villages that Daniel has a special relationship with for breakfast. We participate in whatever it is they are doing this morning: dancing, weaving, cooking, spooling...
Catalina, owned by trip co-facilitator Daniel Gutierrez, is beautifully situated on a 5-acre gated property nestled up against sacred Mount Linly with many lovely and accessible spots for exploration and contemplation.

Testimonial from Patricia, Retreat Participant at Catalina:
I've been to and lived in 26 countries. The Sacred Valley where Catalina is located is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places that I have ever been to. You're at home as soon as you get there. Daniel and his staff are welcoming and authentic. Our group became family. The spiritual journey we took together was extremely insightful and it just keeps giving since I've gotten home.
Peru is a South American country with a diverse, vibrant living spiritual tradition.
MEET HISTORY: Follow the footsteps of the Incas as we explore the most exclusive places of power and ceremony. Get up close and feel the sensation of another era.
Learn the cosmology, science, history, social order, and stories of the Incas. Discover the wisdom, harmony, and balance that characterize the Andean way of life and worldview.
CULTURAL EXPLORATIONS: Meet and develop personal connections with the Qetchwa communities who draw strength from an enduring belief in the power of the earth (Pachamama) and the mountains to meet the challenges of each day. See and feel how the Inca heritage continues to shape the vibrant Andean culture of today.
UNIQUE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE: This journey will expand your horizons as you experience the Incan world away from modern life. Open to the possibilities of what the world can be (and is), and also what you can be in the world.
Use the fresh perspectives and insights from your experience in Peru as a new beginning and kick-start the changes you truly desire and deserve!
Imagine this scene... Looking out to the majesty of the Andes Mountains at dawn, your shoulders stretch and your heart opens. Flute music swirls on the breeze, and an angelic voice calms your soul. Energy spirals up your spine, stretching into the sky. Your heart thrums with joy.
You made it! You have always wanted to be here.
A surge of relief and gratitude courses through you. You deeply exhale from the very bones of your body.
The past few years have been so hard, so "on-guard," so tenuous. It feels like a miracle that you are here. Sometimes you wondered if you would ever leave your house again. And now, you wonder at the stability of the world. And, here you are, on top of the world. Stabilizing YOU.
In a sudden instant, your tired body and heart melt and expansion and freedom wash through you. New strength and conviction to uplift our world fill you.
The ancients who walked these mountains walk with you now. You feel this power, this strength. Life can never be the same because you are not the same.
Your heart, body, and mind are refreshed, renewed, strengthened.
Retreat guides Christine & Daniel bury the sacred bundle during a Despacho Ceremony at Philosophers Camp in 2019.
Christine Powers, founder and CEO of Asa Adirondack and the Philosophers Camp, and Daniel Gutierrez, a transplanted Texan, premier inspirational travel leader, and owner of Catalina, invite you to join them for an intimate journey into the heart of YOU.
Daniel and Christine understand the deep resonance and power of ancient, sanctified lands. In 2019, they opened a gateway between their two lands, calling the land in the Adirondack Mountains of NY “Where Condor and Eagle Meet”.
Now, at long last, they complete and amplify this circle of energy with this trip, and invite you to be a vital part of this auspicious ceremony at Catalina during this retreat.
Hearty Andean-style breakfasts fuel our excursions, lunches are at Catalina or out as we explore, and each dinner is family-style including Peruvian dishes Chicharon (fried pork), Chicha (purple corn drink), and Cusquena (Peruvian beer). Abundant snacks and pure drinking water are available 24/7. The skill and love poured into each bite are palpable.
The Catalina chef will serve up the best of Peruvian culture and has sumptuous menus planned.
Can’t eat this or that? Vegan, vegetarian, Keto, gluten, or dairy-free? No problem – we’re happy to accommodate any of your food preferences.
Christine masterfully drove us through an internal journey, making us realize where we were and where we wanted to go. Emotions and memories from years ago came back. They just came. It's incredible how when you connect with the land, the land finds you, and you find yourself, and you remember all those special moments in your life. I don't want to give away more, because Christine is magic, and you have to experience it for yourself.

Co-Facilitator, CEO and Founder of Asa Adirondack
Christine is unique, spanning influence from being an award-winning soprano to an award-winning business executive. Today, while living a rustic mountain lifestyle, she is “spiritual consigliere” to GenX women founders and leaders, and a visionary who amplifies the amplifiers.
Performing since 7 when she played Frosty the Snowman in her school Christmas pageant, she was dubbed “Sarah Bernhardt” for her dramatic presence. Christine went on to study theater and voice at Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame. A life-changing event occurred in Warsaw, Poland at the Jewish Historical Institute where she sang Leonard Bernstein's “Kaddish” (Prayer for the Dead) for an audience that included Holocaust survivors. The connection forged with those survivors consciously awoke within her the depth and power of her healing voice.
Later, as her business career was sky-rocketing in fundraising, marketing, and PR, having just received a prestigious business award and been appointed to national positions of responsibility for the American Red Cross, Christine was thrust into a dark night of the soul. She emerged knowing who she is and what is hers to do: Awaken. Activate. Nurture. Anchor as many as possible so they can contribute the highest with the most fulfilling lives.
Christine has touched thousands through music & meditations; workshops; retreats; energy and sound healing; inspirational talks; and writings.
She has learned radical detachment through a series of life events: catastrophic fire that burned all her family and business possessions; surviving E.coli ESBL, and coming to terms with Tularemia and undiagnosed Lyme Disease. She is deeply in tune with the cycles of death and rebirth as a certified death doula, energy healer, and sage.
She is founder of Philosophers Camp and founder and CEO of Asa Adirondack, a 100-acre sanctuary offering deep rejuvenation for body, soul, and psyche in the Adirondack Mountains of New York.
Co-Facilitator, Owner of Catalina Retreat Center
To get to the highest tops, one must explore the deepest depths. Nobody knows that better than Daniel.
Once a high-powered executive and in-demand consultant who graced the covers of Latin Business, Cypen, and Color magazines, Daniel realized that there was more to success than a 7-figure earning potential. As President of PRIMER, a prestigious national leadership organization, and an advisor to the Department of White House Personnel for the Obama Administration, Daniel was a highly regarded and deeply revered leader.
Though Daniel was listed as one of the “Top 100 Hispanics in America” along with extraordinary individuals such as Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, actor Edward James Olmos, and CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, something was still missing. Daniel clearly mastered the outer game. But his intuition told him that to feel fulfilled, he must also master the inner game.
To everyone’s surprise, Daniel left it all behind and dedicate the next chapter of his life to becoming a Master of Mindfulness. During the past 15 years, Daniel has led over 60 quests to the heights of the Machu Picchu, the depths of the Amazon, and the top of the Himalayas. He has been guiding entrepreneurs and executives in mindfulness immersions.
Though mindfulness is a lifelong practice, Daniel has become known for giving life-altering strategies in as little as 60 seconds. A beloved mentor and sought-after motivational speaker, Daniel was featured in the documentary “Luminous World Views” as one of 18 thought leaders in the area of transformation and leadership.
In 2018, Daniel appeared as a special guest for renowned teacher, Michel Pascal at Carnegie Hall in New York City. He addressed a sold-out crowd with musical support from Earth Wind and Fire, and Madonna and Michael Jackson’s best musicians. He is an international bestselling author, including his fifth book, Radical Mindfulness.
